Why Eatonville

Eatonville Panoramic View
  • Choosing Our District

Eatonville School District is located in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, we are a friendly and close-knit community of 2,800. We are conveniently located within an hour's driving time from Seattle and Olympia.

Recreational activities abound in the Eatonville-Mt. Rainier area.  In a short drive, one can participate in many seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, camping, hunting, boating, fishing and mountain climbing.  Northwest Trek Animal Park, Pioneer Farm Museum and the University of Washington Experimental Forest are additional areas of interest nearby.

The climate is mild during the winter and enjoyably warm in the summer.  At an elevation of about 700 feet, the town is situated low enough to have about the same amount of snow each year as neighboring Tacoma or Seattle.

We think you will find our new website informative, dynamic, and easy to navigate.  Our website represents our commitment to connect and engage with our schools and the community they serve.

Each school day, Eatonville School District places the safety of its student and staff in the foreground of all we do. We emphasize respect for the rights and property of others.  Eatonville also promotes respectful language and discourages vulgar language and obscenities.

Our primary goal is to educate each of its students in an individually appropriate manner within an environment of personal safety and mutual respect, to become well-informed, productive and socially responsible citizens.

At Eatonville School District, we take our transportation rules very seriously.
